Canadian menswear label House of Lizares, headed up by designer Brian Maristela have released their spring/summer 2010 collection. The Filpino born Maristela was raised in Sudbury and graduted from London Ontario’s Fanshaw college in fashion design. His meticulous attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and passion for exotic fabrics resulted in a collection that fuses classic Filipino materials with forward tailoring and directional detailing.
Swash is a fashionable partnership between two Central St Martins graduates, Sarah Swash and Toshio Yamanaka. The pairs Spring/Summer 2010 collection is called ‘Dream Machine’ and is feminine yet formal and heavily print based. Sarah’s influence is the eccentric English humour – where as Toshio is a perfectionist pattern cutting. The styling of these balloon based beauties is done by Sebastian Kauffman and photography is by David Dunan.

Keeping with last years theme starring Jason Schwartzman, Band of Outsiders enlisted 3 new actors to sport their Spring/Summer collection shot entirely in polaroid. Dave Franco, Donald Glover and Leslie Mann (40 year Old Virgin & Funny People) rock out the new collection in the shoot inspired by the Jacques Cousteau documentary Le Monde du Silence.

Our friend Ken Chow, the founder and designer behind contemporary menswear label Krane, sent us a full set of preview images for his 2010 Spring/Summer collection. Krane is a label made and manufactured in Toronto and can be found in the States, Netherlands and Japan. Canadians doing big things…just beautiful.
